Provides Fast Rekeying Convenience for All Keying Systems.
Rekeying is an important factor when managing a key system. If a key gets lost or falls into the wrong hands, it compromises the entire system. This is a big problem, especially for businesses, and it requires the entire system to be rekeyed. By rekeying the system it prevents lost or stolen keys from working in that specific system again, making the keys virtually useless to whoever has them in possession.
Standard Cores are most commonly used in homes and residential buildings, but they can also be seen in commercial buildings. They are cheaper than Interchangeable Cores, but they have their disadvantages. One of the biggest downsides for Standard Cores is how time consuming and difficult they are to rekey. It usually requires a technician or locksmith to preform it due to the requirement of removing the door hardware in order to access them. When rekeying Interchangeable Cores, the door hardware doesn’t have to be removed and it can be easily preformed without the presence of a technician. This saves both time and money in the long run and the convenience is non-comparable.
Interchangeable Cores are removed from the door hardware or lock using their corresponding “Control Key”. Instead of operating the hardware, the Control Key only turns a small fraction and then releases the core from the hardware for easy removal. Once the old core is removed, the new one can be inserted the same way with its corresponding Control Key. The removed core can then be re-pinned to work with the new system.
We supply Interchangeable Cores and Keys in a large variety of Keyways to accommodate all keying systems. We can also pin your cores and cut your keys in-house before sending them to you to save you the time and hassle.
We supply Padlocks that accommodate Interchangeable Cores, which allow them to be integrated into your keying system. We carry brands such as Stanley Best, American Lock, and Master Lock, but can access other brands/models via special request.
We have access to Stanley Best Commercial Door Hardware that accommodate Interchangeable Cores. This includes Deadbolts, Knob Locks, Lever Locks, and Mortise Locks.
