Secures Dropped Semi Trailers From Unauthorized Coupling.
Millions of dollars worth of cargo is stolen each and every year and the freight on trucks are becoming more and more valuable. Because of this, semi trailers are becoming more of a target for theft. King pin locks help secure semi trailers when they are not in use. This is a good security measure specially if the semi trailer is dropped in an unsecured location. King pin locks can also help indicate which semi trailers are ready to be moved by removing the locks from the trailers that are ready, and keeping the locks on the trailers that are not quite ready.
The king pin lock attaches onto and secures the king pin of a semi trailer, which connects to the hitch on a truck or tractor. With the king pin lock in place, it prevents unauthorized coupling and towing of the locked semi trailer. A warning flag is attached to the handle of the king pin lock, and it hangs down from the lock when it is attached to a dropped semi trailer. The hanging red flag warns drivers not to attempt coupling with the semi trailer, which avoids potential damage to the truck or tractor, the semi trailer, or the king pin lock itself. The attached handle of the king pin lock makes the lock easy to carry when it’s not in use, and it helps keep your hands clean from any grease that the lock may have accumulated from the trailer’s king pin.

The storage rack contains four mounting holes for universal mounting capabilities, and it is available with either three or five king pin lock placement hooks.
